  My father has been buried here since 2004. I visit a few times a month. Its beautiful, clean and well maintained. Ive never had to interact with owners/management until the other day, when i was driving past, there was a lot of construction going on near the entrances of the cemetery. I called the number listed and the gentleman who answered provided me with directions on which entrance to use. He was so nice. i couldn't believe it when later, i realized he had called back a little bit later to make sure i found my way in! he left a message. I just thought this was the nicest thing. Good, caring people. Thanks for that!

  Over the years St Charles City has done an outstanding job maintaining Oak Grove. When I was a kid the place was perfect for a creep festival. Tall grass, tombstones from the 19th century, and potter's field made one not stay long. Then in the early 80s things changed and the city took ownership of the situation. It's an asset, not an eyesore.
