  • Seder dinner is nearly finished. It's been interesting to say the least, and very enjoyable.

We have been members of this church for 3 years. When Pastor Jobe left, we (the family) were heartbroken but we stayed thinking it's not about who the pastor is. Pastor Jobe has been there for us. Whenever we need him, he is always willing and ready to listen and pray for us. When he left, we really didn't know anybody else. Yes, there's always smiles and greetings every Sunday but few weeks ago, we called and asked if we could use a spare room or even the gazebo outside the church to hold a family surprise party. All we needed was a place with 1 long table and few chairs to hold this family gathering. We thought the outside gazebo would be perfect to a short lunch get together. Well, we called the church and they said no, we can't use a room or the gazebo. We asked why a member couldn't use a facility that we assumed is open for everybody. And we were just answered "I don't know, the rules?".
This church does not make us feel like we are a "family member". We even emailed the elders and Pastor Doyle about this but nothing. No response. This is how we were treated as "members" of this church. They are full of lip service. It's sad and heartbreaking.

I grew tired of traipsing in and traipsing out week after week, encountering the same ole same ole, not feeling like my spirit was being fed from the services. Instead of Holy-Spirit lead dynamic preaching, one has to settle for rather boring lectures with some humor thrown in. I feel that God is not the head of that church but, rather, it's controlled by admins who raise a bushy-brow to anything that's outside their way of doing things, including anything the Holy Spirit may want to do in the service. I also feel that it's more of a social club filled with activities rather than a community that gathers to focus their attention on God Himself. Celebrate Recovery meets on Monday nights for people dealing with various issues. I didn't perceive it as a Christ-centered support group, but rather a me-focused group, centering on one's problems on a continual basis, rather than focusing on Christ--the solution to one's problems. I witnessed non-Christlike behavior displayed by at least a few individuals who attended, not to mention that I was verbally attacked by a couple of them and almost physically attacked by one who later apologized. Needless to say, I will not be returning to either the group or the church itself.

  • I think this church is "HOLY SPIRIT FILLED" & IM sure GOD agrees. I was fortunate to attend here once & I am looking forward to calling this church my place TO PRAISE OUR FATHER, ELOHIM !!! Anyone that is looking for the same, please, at least give this place a chance..I am sure you will agree...

  • I needed to find a new Church. Harvester Christian Church I knew was it as soon as I walked in. They have gluten free communion. The people are incredibly nice. Handicapped and wheelchair accessible. The early service interprets for the deaf. They have child care and children's ministry. I can come to church and feel like I am here for God and I don't have to prove myself to other people. I come as I am. They focus on family and the Bible very heavily..but nothing is wrong with that. Give this Church a chance....it's the best hour on a Sunday you will ever have.
